Question:Where can I learn more about the new ACS Technologies "Realm"
Isn't your Church Helpmate Online product already a "cloud-based"
system? What advantages does this new Realm product have over
Church Helpmate Online?
Answer:Great question! Since 2011, our Church Helpmate Online (CHO)
service has been a blessing to many of our Church Helpmate
customers. CHO is essentially an installation of our Church
Helpmate Desktop product (Windows-based software product) installed
and running on our servers and accessed by our customers through
their computer's Internet connection (so it's "in the cloud").
While CHO provides several benefits over the traditional locally
installed "desktop" software (such as remote access, nightly
backups, etc.) there are still many inherent limitations and
disadvantages of this solution as compared to true modern
browser-based, web solution such as the Realm product. In many ways
CHO is essentially a short-term, "Band-Aid" solution that is
already limiting many of our customers. The Realm product is a
completely new breed of church software designed with ease-of-use,
accessibility, and ministry-focused interconnectivity in
mind...helping churches do "real ministry." To many, Church
Helpmate Online still feels like a "clunky", complex, and outdated
Windows software application...and honestly, we agree :-).
Realm is more than just another church management software
solution. Realm was designed to connect you, your staff, and
your congregation together - offering integrated administrative AND
ministry tools. Realm is a 100% web-based solution that is
EASY TO USE with a fresh and intuitive interface.
Question: In the
future, will you be continuing to implement new features and
enhancements into the Church Helpmate product?
releasing periodic service releases to the Church Helpmate product
to resolve any problems (bugs) as they are identified, our product
development efforts regarding enhancements
for the Church Helpmate product

the Church Helpmate prices going to increase as a result of this
Answer:As with any product or service,
there may eventually be slight price increases. However, at this
time, we have no immediate plans for any price increase for Church
Helpmate products or services.
Question: If we decide
to transition from Church Helpmate to Realm, will my Church
Helpmate data be transferred over to Realm automatically?
Answer:Yes. If you choose to switch from Church Helpmate to Realm,
we will ensure that every aspect of your transition to Realm is as
easy and straight-forward as possible. As such, we will ensure that
your existing Church Helpmate data is transferred over to
your new Realm account. The Church Helpmate to Realm data
conversion will be offered as a FREE service (normally ACS
Technologies charges $500 for this data conversion service).
going to eventually phase-out and discontinue the Church
Helpmate Online service? How long will you continue to support
the Church Helpmate Desktop product?
Question: What is
going to happen to the Helpmate employees as a result of this
Answer:We're very happy to say that all
Helpmate employees are now ACS Technologies employees. This
is a true synergistic partnership where everyone wins - it's a win
for Helpmate, it's a win for ACS Technologies, and it's a win for
