"Redeemer started using Church Helpmate back in 2005.  Previously we had been using another church management software product, but it’s latest release was plagued with problems. Waiting for the fixes, trying to contact customer support, and attempting to continue keeping track of our membership was troublesome and frustrating.

Enter Church Helpmate. Your company converted our old data, and helped us start using the program.  Suddenly, we had access to facts and trends that we hadn’t seen before. This led to other questions, which led to other reports and information, even reports which we could pretty easily create on our own.

Then came Church Helpmate 2008. This version is cleaner looking and looks more familiar to our other staff, making it easier for them to use.  The staff has been successful in creating their own reports, which means they don’t have to wait for me to pull the information for them.  For me, the most important aspect is that it takes very little time to enter our information and get it back out.  What sometimes used to take a couple of days of struggling trying to create reports takes very little time at all.  Staff who ask for reports are continually surprised that the information comes back so quickly; and if the output needs to be “tweaked” a bit, it is no trouble at all.

I have been involved with computers and applications for almost 30 years.  In that time, I’ve seen my fair share of applications, designed for general use and for specific venues. In my opinion, Church Helpmate is one of the best of the lot. 

The design makes it simple to use, even for people who are not very computer literate. This means that because they can get to the information they want, in the form that they want, it is a success each time they use the program.  While I am the primary user, the other staff and lay people who use the program, or generate their own reports, or even those staff who use the reports I prepare for them, can see how Church Helpmate helps us look at ourselves.  When we can do that, we can see what changes can be made, and see how those changes can and do impact our ministry in the neighborhood.

And in the end, our message to the people outside our walls is the most important purpose we have: to spread the word of the saving grace of Jesus Christ!
