New Built-in
SMTP Email System with HTML Formatting
Capability
A complete SMTP email processing system makes contacting your people
by email easy and simple - without having to rely on other email
programs or 3rd party email services. Now you can design & build
colorful, attention-grabbing emails with full HTML formatting tools
and options (instead of being limited to boring "plain text" emails!).
Great for emailing newsletters, announcements, and letters. |
Check Reader
Interface
Checks can be entered into the system via a check reader (scanner) to
greatly reduce contribution data entry time and ensure accuracy.
Attendance Entry
by Barcode Scanner
Entry of attendance data can be done via a barcode scanner -
significantly reducing attendance data entry time.
"Quick Search"
"Quick Search" tool provides a quick and convenient
method for locating Households, Individuals, and Contacts based on specific
criteria. |
Automatic Switching
Between Primary & Secondary Address Sets
The system will automatically switch between "Primary" and "Secondary"
household address sets based on start/end dates that you specify for each
household. No more worrying about having to keep this data manually
up-to-date or sending mailings to the wrong address. |
Auto-Update Group Membership
Group Membership can now be easily updated and maintained based on
Custom Filters. This allows for more dynamic group membership -
having people automatically added and/or removed from Groups based on
specific criteria defined by the Custom Filter. |
"Dashboard" summary screen
Configurable "Dashboard" summary screen that can present important
information such as upcoming birthdays & wedding anniversaries, new
members added, upcoming scheduled connections, contribution summary
data, etc. |
Interactive Demographic Mapping
An insightful "Maps" Output option displays an interactive
geographical map of multiple addresses - providing you a great
demographics tool to visualize the locations of addresses for various
subsets of your database (i.e. members, people in the choir,
contributors, first-time visitors, etc.). |
Name Badge/Tag Printing
Configure and print name badges. Great for events and meetings. |
Improved Reports, Directories, &
Contribution Statements
Improved reporting options help you to get the data OUT of the
database in the form you need it...with as little hassle as possible.
We've added brand new reports as well as added tons of additional options to
existing ones. |
"Windows 7" Compatibility
Complete compatibility with "Windows 7" - the newest
version of Microsoft Windows released by Microsoft in October 2009.
NOTE: All versions of Church Helpmate still work just fine on
older versions of Windows - all the way back to Windows 98. |

"Quick Label" Feature
Enables users to quickly generate a single mailing label for a
Household, Individual, or Contact record. This feature is
available from both the Explorer and Detail forms.
Enhanced "Quick Letter" Feature
The former "Quick Letter" feature has been redesigned to provide more
flexibility and to make it simpler to build templates and insert data
merge fields. Additionally, this redesign now allows users to
create and maintain an unlimited number of "Quick Letter" MS Word
templates (instead of being limited to just 3 templates).
Enhanced Bulk Email Feature
More and more email providers are placing a limit on
the number of email addresses that can be included in an email message. For
example, some churches are not able to have more than 100 email addresses in
single email message. We’ve enhanced the bulk email feature by providing a
new "Max # of email addresses per email message" setting. This feature
allows users to circumvent any such limitation by automatically splitting
email messages into multiple email messages as necessary. This feature is
also helpful in reducing the chances of email messages being flagged as
spam. |
Recycle Bin
Records that are deleted from Detail Forms are sent to this recycle bin - as
opposed to being permanently removed from the database. Deleted records can
then be restored from this recycle bin as necessary. The recycle bin
includes the option to permanently delete any records currently in the
recycle bin. Households, Individuals, and Contacts can be deleted
(sent to the recycle bin) without removing their contributions records from
existing batches. Therefore, sending these records to the Recycle Bin will
not impact any contribution batches. Never worry about accidentally deleting
a record again! |
Enhanced
Security System
The built-in security system has been significantly enhanced by
providing administrators with much more granularity of control for
each user's permissions (allowing much more control over what each
user can see and do in the database). |
Windows
"VISTA" Compatible
Complete compatibility with Windows "Vista". This includes
compatibility with Vista's User Access Control (UAC), which enables a
"standard" user account in Vista to run Church Helpmate. These
changes still allow the product to be run on earlier versions of
Windows just fine as well (Windows 98 and newer). |
Color Themes
With the "Color Themes" feature, users can customize the color usage
throughout the program from over 30 different themes such as "Coffee",
"Chocolate", "The Vineyards", "The 70's", "Radioactive", and many
more. There is a theme sure to match every style and mood. Try a
different theme each week - and add some color to your day! |
Usability Tweaks Throughout
Adjustments made throughout the product to improve the overall user
experience with the product. These enhancements include simpler
functionality, more intuitive navigation tools, more flexibility in
reporting and other output types, and more. We've even given the
product a major cosmetic "overhaul" - providing a nice, clean, modern look
and feel. |

Memorized Outputs
These new Memorized Outputs (directories, reports, labels, form
letters, emails, etc.) literally store all settings necessary to
generate the output defined by the user. A "Memorized Outputs" form
allows the user to recall these stored outputs by simply selecting the
name they gave the Memorized Output. This allows the user to
generate the output right from the Memorized Outputs form – without
even having to open the report configurator.

Church Health & Statistics Module
This module provides week by week tracking and analysis of over 60
important data fields such as Membership Enrollment, # of Members
Added, Worship Service attendance, Contributions received, and more.
Most of these fields can be “auto-filled” by pulling from the data
already in the CH database – though all fields can be manually
overridden if desired. This module also allows the user to define
targets and ratios for several key church health indicators such as
Per-Capita Giving, Small Group Ratio, Conversion Growth Ratio, and
more. A weekly health snapshot report provides a comprehensive 20-page
report with weekly data comparisons to previous week, previous year,
and targets. Snapshot report also includes many insightful charts.
Easily convert and share your CH reports as
PDF files
Built-in capability to convert any CH report to a PDF
file, as well as a one-click process to email any CH report as a PDF
file attachment. |
Contribution “Auto-Complete” Data
Entry Logic
Automatically recalls the information from each
contributor’s last contribution during data entry – filling in the
amounts and fund splits automatically. |
Distribute Contribution Statements and Pledge
Statements by Email
Can send contribution and pledge statements to contributors by Email.
Each statement is converted to a PDF file and then attached to a
personalized email addressed to each contributor. Supports a
“Statement Delivery Preference” setting that lets the user specify
each contributor's preference for receiving their statements (by
postal mail, by email, or both). This setting is then utilized when
generating statements – emailing statements to those who prefer email,
and printing hard-copy statements for those who wish to receive their
statements in hard-copy form. |
MS Outlook® Export Utility
Allows the user to easily create and maintain MS Outlook contact
records based on the Individual and Contact records in their CH
database. Provides an easy-to-use mechanism for getting CH data into
hand-held units such as Palm Pilots and Pocket PC's. |
Dynamic Date Ranges in Custom Filters
Custom Filters support dynamic date ranges – such as “Today”, “Last
Weekend”, “Last Month”, “Previous 60 days”, etc. Prevents user from
having to periodically edit their custom filters by not having to
specify actual date values. |
Enhanced Roll-Call Reports
Roll-call reports capable of displaying allergy info, special needs,
and SecurityID fields. |
