Getting Started with the CHO Demo

In order to run Church Helpmate Online (CHO) from your computer, a small client program will first need to be installed onto your computer.  The information below provides instructions on installing this client program (a one-time procedure) as well as how to start up Church Helpmate Online.

 

Please see the appropriate section below based on whether you are using a Windows or Mac computer.

 

   WINDOWS

1.  Installing the Windows client software (one-time procedure)

  1. CLICK HERE, then select to "Run" or "Open" the file
     NOTE: Some web browsers (such as Firefox) won't let you Run/Open a link directly.  In this case, you will need to save the file to your computer and then double-click on it to run it.

  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the client software

2.  Running Church Helpmate Online

  1. Double-click the "CHO demo" icon from your Windows desktop to connect to the Church Helpmate Online server.

  2. The Church Helpmate Online demo program will be opened and displayed.


 

REQUIREMENTS:  Windows XP or newer

 

 

  MAC

1.  Installing the MAC client (one-time procedure)

  1. CLICK HERE to download IDS-LINKS.dmg
    This should place the IDS-LINKS.pkg file into your Downloads folder.

  2. From your Downloads folder, click the IDS-LINKS.pkg file to run the installation wizard - and use the default installation settings.

2.  Installing the CHO demo desktop icon (one-time procedure)

  1. CLICK HERE to download CHO-Icon-Mac-Demo.zip.  This should place the "CHO Demo" icon in your Downloads folder.

  2. From the Downloads folder, pull the "CHO Demo" icon onto your Desktop.

3.  Running Church Helpmate Online

  1. Click the "CHO Demo" desktop icon to connect to the Church Helpmate Online server.

  2. The Church Helpmate Online program will be opened and displayed.

REQUIREMENTS:  Mac OSX 10.4 or newer running Intel processor (not compatible with older PowerPC processor)
